God and Money

for we walk by faith, not by sight. —2 Corinthians 5:7

To live by faith is to be obedient to God. How faithful are you? We are living in a tension where God’s commands conflict with the world’s values. How can believers reconcile the two?

Jesus teaches,

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” —Matthew 6:24

The Well Church, as we meditate on today’s verse, let us make sure that we are not serving two masters? Do you serve God or money? Are you giving yourself away for the poor and needy? We can only do this by trusting and believing in Jesus Christ, who sacrificed himself for our sake.

Let us ask God to give us help so that we walk by faith!
