Sun of Righteousness

But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall. - Malachi 4:2

When the sun of righteousness rises, it will drive away the oppression and injustice represented by darkness and cloud. The sun of righteousness describes the great visitation from God. Luke 1:78 states, "Because of the tender mercy of our God, with which the Sunrise from on high will visit us."

The sun of righteousness brings both judgment and reward: judgment for the arrogant and all evildoers and reward for those who fear God.

Brothers and sisters, let us fear the Lord and look to Jesus, the light of the world. He is our salvation.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." - John 8:12
