God's Joy

the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; - Psalm 19:8

According to David, God's instructions are right, and they bring joy to the heart. There is a difference between God's joy and the world's joy. The world teaches that joy comes from wealth, health, or by having things done our way. It is temporary. However, God's joy has eternity in perspective and endures trials and hardships. James 1:2-3 states,

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

The Well Church, let us not look towards the world for a quick fix on life. Let us look to God's Word and trust in the one who gives joy. May you heed God's instructions and experience God's joy today.

Whoever heeds instruction is on the path to life, but he who rejects reproof leads others astray. - Proverbs 10:17
