Salvation and Love

Read today’s devotional here.

I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.- Isaiah 42:6

In today's devotional (pp. 42-43), Stovell mentions that "light is a powerful metaphor for safety and salvation." Jesus Christ came as the light of the world to bring salvation and hope to the world surrounded by darkness. "This salvation is multiethnic, multicultural, and available for all."

As we celebrate the Advent season and reflect on today's devotional from Isaiah 42:1-14; 49:1-15; and 60:1-3, let us remember that Jesus Christ, our living hope, came on Christmas and is returning. May He draw you closer to Him as you seek Him.
