God First
"I can do nothing on my own. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me."
- John 5:30
Jesus demonstrates living a God-centered life in this text. Although he was God, he sought the will of his Father, putting him first. Concerning Christ, the Apostle Paul wrote,
"who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men."
- Philippians 2:6-7
Following God was Jesus' number one priority, and everything he did was based on this priority.
Saints of the Well Church, God calls all believers to live for Christ. Is he your priority in all areas of your life, or do you put other preferences first?
Let us trust in him wholeheartedly by following Christ and his way.
"For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's."
- Romans 14:8
