What is your story?
I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the Lord. Psalm 118:17
Today's text from Psalm 118 reminds us that God is the source of our strength and that we can and must trust Him during the most challenging circumstances.
The psalmist's declaration that "I shall not die, but I shall live" is a statement of faith and confidence in God's power to sustain us. This verse reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles and can rely on God's grace and mercy to carry us through.
The second part of the verse, "and recount the deeds of the LORD," speaks to the idea of testimony. When we experience God's faithfulness in our lives, it is crucial to share that with others. Our testimonies can be powerful witnesses to others, pointing them to Christ and bringing hope and encouragement to those who may be going through similar struggles. Through our testimony, we can give glory to God and help others see His goodness and faithfulness.
Dear Church, what is your God story? As we experience His grace, mercy, power, and love, let us boldly share it with others. Let us seek to live out this verse in our daily lives, trusting in God's strength and sharing His love with those around us.
