Pastor Jay Lee

Pastor Jay was installed as lead pastor of The Well Church in 2015. Born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, Jay’s parents moved the family to Seoul, South Korea, when he was seven. Jumping into second grade in Seoul public schools, Jay learned to adapt to a new culture and speak Korean. Having experienced so much change in his life, Jay understands what it means to be a “stranger in a strange land,” a call for all believers (1 Peter 2:11-12). A Nittany Lion through and through, Jay returned to Penn State, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science in 1989. He graduated from Stevens Institute of Technology (M.S., 1996) and worked more than 14 years in the IT sector, leaving his post as VP at JP Morgan Chase in New York City as God called him to ordained ministry. In 2007, Pastor Jay was ordained by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) after graduating from Alliance Theological Seminary. Pastor Jay is passionate about developing leaders and serves as a board member of Arrow Leadership.

Jay enjoys leading-edge technology, photography, drinking gourmet coffee, tennis, swimming, bike riding, and international travel. Jay lives in Middle Hope, New York, with his wife, Susan. He has three children – Colin, Audrey, and Mia.
