COVID-19

March 14, 2020

The Well Church,

Yesterday evening, I spoke with the elders of our church to pray for our church and to make decisions about our response to the latest developments regarding COVID-19. As we are a church with members who are considered to be high-risk (young and old), we are canceling our Sunday and Friday gatherings until further notice. We are making this difficult decision out of concern for the protection of the most vulnerable among us; our elderly and those with underlying health conditions. It is our desire to participate with the community in slowing the spread of the virus, and the effectiveness of its containment is proportional to the willingness of large gathering organizations to work together for the common good.

I plan to send out regular emails and post sermons online. In the meantime, here’s what you can do:

  • Set aside time for personal/family worship. Remember that we are called to keep our sabbath.

  • Automate your giving through our give now page. It just takes minutes to setup.

  • Be ready to help others in need. Regularly check up on your friends, family, and neighbors.

As we make preparations during this difficult time, let us remember that Our God is greater than our problems. Choose to trust our faithful God. If you have any needs or concerns, do not hesitate to contact me.

Blessings,
Pastor Jay
