God is Enough (2-minute Devotional)
They shall not remain in the land of the LORD, but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean food in Assyria. —Hosea 9:3
The book of Exodus is the story of God rescuing Israel from Egypt through Moses. There were many miraculous signs performed in Exodus, and after crossing the Red Sea, Exodus 14:30 reads, “Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.” This rescue is one of the most significant events in Israel’s history. In Hosea 9:3, God warns that Ephraim (Israel) shall return to Egypt as refugees. By forsaking God through their sin of idolatry, Israel will be stripped of their wealth and return to the land of oppression.
The Well Church, let us lay down our idols and return to God by trusting in Him. Let us remember that God is enough.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. —Philippians 4:9
