With Christ (2-minute Devotional)

even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
—Ephesians 2:5-6

Charles Spurgeon said, “There is no joy in this world like union with Christ. The more we can feel it, the happier we are.” In today’s text, we see that we were made alive together with Christ, raised with Christ, and seated with Christ. We are united with Christ. In other words, “Christ is in us, and we are in Christ.” Union with Christ is the essence of what it means to be a Christian.
