Ephraim feeds on the wind and pursues the east wind all day long; they multiply falsehood and violence; they make a covenant with Assyria, and oil is carried to Egypt. —Hosea 12:1

Happy Monday!

In this world, there are things that we can control, and there are things that we cannot control. Despite our advances in technology, we cannot accurately predict the weather. Not only that, but we also cannot even control the weather. The only one in control is God. Ephraim (Israel) did not look to God, but the local deities for help (fertility and rain). They also made unholy alliances with Egypt and Assyria, who eventually destroy them.

The Well Church, let us remember that God is in control of all things. Let us trust in Him and Him alone.
