Influence
When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling; he was exalted in Israel, but he incurred guilt through Baal and died. —Hosea 13:1
Happy Monday!
The world defines success by popularity, power, and prosperity. Those who are successful regularly influence people’s beliefs and behaviors. We see many celebrities use their platform to persuade people on political issues and other matters. Many treat celebrities as god-like figures. Ephraim had such a platform and, at one time, commanded respect. Worldly success, however, does not last forever. The privilege that comes with success will ultimately fade away. Greatness in the past is no guarantee in the future. We must follow the right voice.
The Well Church, let us place our trust in what is permanent — Jesus Christ. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Let us commit ourselves to God each day. Let us listen to Him and follow Him.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. —John 10:27
