Spiritual Growth
And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
—James 1:4
James exhorts, “Let steadfastness have its full effect.” Believers must submit to the sanctification process. The Westminster Shorter Catechism Question 35 gives us the definition of sanctification.
Q. What is sanctification?
A: Sanctification is the work of God's free grace, whereby we are renewed in the whole man after the image of God, and are enabled more and more to die unto sin, and live unto righteousness.
The Well Church, steadfastness leads to perfection. Let us remain faithful amid trials and troubles by submitting to the work of the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is growth!
