Our Success

A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, he loves to oppress. Ephraim has said, “Ah, but I am rich; I have found wealth for myself; in all my labors they cannot find in me iniquity or sin.” —Hosea 12:7-8

Worldly success, abundance, and prosperity often drive people away from God. Money and success become the idols of many who drift away from God. Affluence is not necessarily bad, but it should not take God’s place in our hearts and lives. We see how Israel drifted away from God in Hosea 12:7-8. The danger exists for us as well. As it is written in 1 Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.”

The Well Church, know that everything we have is blessings from God. Let us make sure our work, success, and abundance are not taking over our lives. Look to the cross and find fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Only Jesus satisfies!

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. —John 6:35
