God's promise

Today marks the 19th anniversary of the September 11 attacks. I was working in New York City and witnessed the World Trade Center's collapse from the window of my office. There were times when I thought that I would not make it home that day. Many of my co-workers were panicking, afraid of what felt like the end of the world. Amid the chaos, I felt calm and peaceful. I kept reciting Isaiah 43:2, knowing that my Lord was with me. He promised to His people, "I will be with you."

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. — Isaiah 43:2

The Well Church, remember this dark moment in our country's history, let us also pray for those who lost loved ones, many who are still carrying their invisible scars. Let us also remember God's promise to His people: I will be with you. He is with you!
