Live-giving words

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits. —Proverbs 18:21

Our words are powerful. Since our tongue can produce death or life, we must be mindful of our speech. The power of words can destroy relationships, friendships, marriages, churches, and careers.

Words can also heal relationships. We can give hope to the hopeless, faith to the faithless, and encourage the discouraged by sharing the gospel with our tongues.

The Well Church, Jesus said, “for out of the abidance of the heart his mouth speaks” (Luke 6:45). A loving heart produces life giving words. Let us fill our hearts today with God’s Word and give hope to the hopeless with our words today.
