The next chapter

Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like a flower of the grass he will pass away. —James 1:9-10

By calling the poor boast in their exaltation and the rich in their humiliation, James is calling the church to be a “countercultural” community. What does it mean to be countercultural? Plainly stated, a countercultural community reverses the values of the world.

The Well Church, God is calling us to be different. He wants us to identify with the “lowly” in their affliction. Let us pray and ask Him to show us the way. I am excited about the next chapter of The Well Church. Are you?
