Saving Faith
What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? —James 2:14
James reminds us that saving faith bears works. As we looked at this passage on Sunday, faith can be defined as "trust and obey," and works as "love God and your neighbors." Do you have this saving faith? Does your relationship with God encourage you to love Him and your neighbors? Have you experienced God's love in your own life?
Here is Paul's prayer for the church, which applies to us as well.
"May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's patience." —2 Thessalonians 3:5
The Well Church, may you experience the love of God as you trust and obey Him. Your love for God and neighbors will follow.
