Love in Action

For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead. —James 2:26

This week we looked at the relationship between faith and works — they need to go hand in hand. As one pastor said, "If faith is like the roots of a tree, then works are the leaves." People of faith must be people of works. Mother Teresa said,

"Faith in action is love, and love in action is service. By transforming that faith into living acts of love, we put ourselves in contact with God Himself, with Jesus our Lord."

As God's children, brothers and sisters, let us put our faith into action by loving and serving those around us.
