Handle with Care

Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. —James 3:1

In today’s text, James warns those who aspire to be teachers of the Word of God. The reason for his warning is because we must handle the Word of God with absolute care. God demands more from those with greater responsibilities. The Apostle Paul encourages Timothy,

“Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” —2 Timothy 3:15

Brother and sisters, let us pray for those who teach the Word of God that they may be faithful in teaching the truth with the utmost care. Similarly, we must apply the same principle in our individual lives. How do you handle the Word of God with care? We must not only understand Scripture correctly but also practice it in our lives. Our faith must be active!

How can you apply the Word of God in your life today?
