Immanuel
On the third day there was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there. Jesus also was invited to the wedding with his disciples. - John 2:1-2
A week after John the Baptist's testimony of Jesus Christ recorded in John 1:19, Jesus begins his public ministry at a wedding at Cana. Cana of Galilee is a small village, Nathanael's hometown. It is at a wedding in a small village where Jesus performs his first miracle. Not at a large city like Jerusalem or in front of a large crowd of 5,000. Jesus does not care about the size of the gathering to demonstrate his power and love. He promises to be with His followers when two or more gather in His name.
"Again, I tell you truly that if two of you on the earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them." - Matthew 18:19-20
The Well Church, let us remember that He is with us when we gather in His name. Our God is Immanuel, which means "God with us."
