Simply the Best
When the master of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (though the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom and said to him, "Everyone serves the good wine first, and when people have drunk freely, then the poor wine. But you have kept the good wine until now." - John 2:9-10
Most of us want the best things in life. When we can afford it, we will often go for the best, whether it is vacation spots, restaurants, homes, education, or even doctors. We want the best in life. In today's text, we see that the wine Jesus provides at the wedding feast is the best. It doesn't matter that the guests at the wedding feast would not have appreciated the excellent wine. Jesus creates and provides the best.
Brothers and sisters, everything our God provides for us is the best. Let us praise and worship Him for being our provider and providing the very best. Let us go to Him for all our needs. Our God is able.
