Love and Presence

"A son honors his father, and a servant his master. 
If then I am a father, where is my honor? 
And if I am a master, where is my fear? 
says the LORD of hosts to you, 
O priests, who despise my name. 
But you say, 'How have we despised your name?' - Malachi 1:6

The fifth commandment states, 

"Honor your father and your mother, othat your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you." - Exodus 20:12

It is the only commandment with a promise (Ephesians 6:2). In the same way, the only appropriate response to God is to honor Him as our father. We do this by worshipping God for who He is and what He has done. He adopted us through his Son Jesus Christ because of His great love. The Apostle Paul writes, 

"he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will." - Ephesians 1:5

People of The Well, let us honor Him by worshipping Him today. May you enjoy His love and presence.
