Our Reward
Remember that the Lord will reward each one of us for the good we do, whether we are slaves or free. — Ephesians 6:8 (NLT)
Yesterday's post featured how we ought to work with passion and zeal for the Lord and His glory. Today's verse continues the theme of the quality of the work of believers. The Apostle Paul reminds us that our reward comes from God, and therefore, we must do all things for God. This teaching reminds me of the Parable of the Talents recorded in the Book of Matthew.
"His master said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.'" — Matthew 25:23
God requires us to be faithful in all circumstances, whether at work, school, or home. Jesus is our savior, master, and friend. As we reflect on today's verse, let us renew our faith and serve Him wholeheartedly in everything we do.
