Work and Passion

Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. - Ephesians 6:7 (NLT)

When you work, do you work with enthusiasm? Do you work wholeheartedly? As we continue to look at Ephesians 6, we see our call as believers to live a life of integrity, representing Christ in our lives. It is easy to work with enthusiasm when our work aligns with our passions. But what do we do when it does not align?

When you are in a situation where you don't feel like working wholeheartedly, remember that our Lord Jesus Christ endured the cross, despising the shame (Hebrews 12:2). Before his betrayal and arrest, Jesus prayed,

"Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done." - Luke 22:42

Jesus gave it all for you and me.

The Well Church, as we work, let us look to Jesus, who gave it all for us. Let us do all things for the Lord and His glory.
