Mercy

If you will not listen, if you will not take it to heart to give honor to my name, says the LORD of hosts, then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have already cursed them, because you do not lay it to heart. - Malachi 2:2

In God's rebuke to the priests (and people of God) in Malachi, we see the possibility of grace and mercy available with the conditional opening of today's verse - "If you will not..." God desires His people to "listen" and "take it to heart," which requires transformation from the inside-out, not behavioral change.

How can we obtain transformational change? Through our Lord Jesus Christ. The Apostle Paul wrote,

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. - 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Well Church, we are a new creation - from the inside-out. His grace and mercy are upon all those who believe. Let us continue to listen to our Master and Lord Jesus Christ and set our hearts on the things above.

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. - Colossians 3:2
