Our Help

And when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from him until an opportune time. - Luke 4:13

As Luke wraps up this section, he notes that the devil departed "until an opportune time," which is a clear indication that there is no freedom from temptation. There was no freedom from our Lord Jesus Christ, nor will there be for us. However, the author of Hebrew writes,

For because he himself has suffered when tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. - Hebrews 2:18

Jesus Christ is able to help us when we are being tempted!

Brothers and sisters, let us look to Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. He will help!
