In God We Trust

The devil said to him, "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread." And Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone.'" - Luke 4:3-4

When Jesus was hungry from fasting for forty days, the devil tempted him to turn stone to become bread to satisfy his hunger. We know that Jesus can turn water into wine (John 2:9) and feed the multitude with a few bread and fish (Matthew 14). However, Jesus said that he came "not to be served but to serve" (Matthew 20:28). He trusted that his Heavenly Father would provide all his needs.

How do you handle challenging situations? Do you trust your abilities and resources, or do you trust God? Brothers and sisters of The Well Church, whether big or small, let us place our trust in our Almighty God.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. - Psalm 20:7
