He is Worthy

"Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name." - John 20:30-31

John's purpose for writing the gospel was that his readers might believe that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. Jesus is exactly like his Father in all qualities. The Son of God title not only shows the relationship between the Father and the Son, but also it fulfills the promise of God recorded in 2 Samuel 7:14.

"I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son. When he commits iniquity, I will discipline him with the rod of men, with the stripes of the sons of men."

Jesus, the Son of God, declares,

"I and the Father are one." - John 10:30

The author of Hebrews explains,

"The Son radiates God's own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven." - Hebrews 1:3 (NLT)

Jesus is God. If He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the price for the sins of the world. Only Jesus Christ can save us.

"He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world." - 1 John 2:2

The Well Church, let us worship our Savior Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Let us thank Him for saving us through his death and resurrection. Let us continue to place our trust in Him alone.

He is Worthy!
