One in Christ

He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. [11] He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. - John 1:10-11

In today's verses, we see the fallen nature of humanity. Although Christ created the world, his creation did not acknowledge Him. Although Scripture pointed to his coming, even his own people denied him. There is no hope for those who reject the messiah.

But...

There is hope for all who believe and come to Jesus.

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God." - John 1:12-13

All who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior are spiritually reborn. God makes no distinction whether one is born Jew or Greek, rich or poor, male or female, slave or free. True children of God come into being through faith in Jesus Christ. 

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. - Galatians 3:28
