Our Embassy

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, - Philippians 3:20

Today, I am happy to announce that we signed a lease for a new meeting location for our church. Beginning in October, we will be meeting in River Edge, NJ. As we come out of COVID-19 quarantine, there will be many adjustments we must make. First is our in-person gathering. Other than a few get-togethers, we have not met in person for over 80 weeks! Second, with the new location, our service time will now be at 1:00 pm. There will be many temptations to not come out to church. Why should we bother? What's wrong with the online church?

As we have looked through the Book of Ephesians, the church is not a building; it is a gathering of God's people. In his book, Rediscover Church, Jonathan Leeman writes,

"A church is actually a gathering and a fellowship of the family of God, the body of Christ, and the temple of the Spirit."

When we gather as a church, we not only experience the love of God, we step into an embassy of heaven. Let us remember that our citizenship is in heaven.

The Well Church, I boldly ask you to join me in praying for our opening this October. As you pray, would you also consider reaching out to those around you who have not been to church and invite them to join us?
