Do you believe this?

We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. - Romans 6:9

Today I will be officiating a funeral service for an extended family member who passed away rather suddenly. As I was preparing for the service, Romans 6:9 came to mind. The Apostle Paul was confident in sharing that Christ is risen from the dead and will never die again. This promise is true to all who believe in Christ Jesus. The Apostle Paul continues in Romans 10,

"because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." - Romans 10:9

Brothers and sisters, is Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior? Do you believe in Jesus Christ? As we are unsure of what tomorrow may bring, let us make sure that we place our hope on the One who is sure and unchanging.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?" - John 11:25-26
