By Faith

John answered, "A person cannot receive even one thing unless it is given him from heaven. - John 3:27

After being confronted by his disciples, John the Baptist affirms that Jesus is the Christ and that all should follow Jesus. He understands that God is in control of everything. This lesson is for all, including us, and we must know that all of our success comes from God, and he can take it away instantly. When Satan tested Job, he said,

"Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord." - Job 1:21

Job acknowledged that the Lorde determines everything and submits to God's sovereign will. 

Dear Church, let us humbly rely on God, knowing that he is in control of all things. Let us praise his holy name as a people of faith, whether he gives or takes away, for we live by faith, not by sight.
