Give Me Faith

The Jews said to him, "Now we know that you have a demon! Abraham died, as did the prophets, yet you say, 'If anyone keeps my word, he will never taste death.' Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died And the prophets died! Who do you make yourself out to be?" - John 8:52-53

Following Jesus requires faith. We do not have all the answers and will not always understand God's sovereignty. God does not require us to understand Him fully; however, He calls us to live and walk by faith. In our text today, the Jews refused to accept Jesus' teaching and thus refused to follow Him.

Dear Church, how is God challenging you today? Even if you cannot fully understand God's teachings, which contradict the way of the world, trust and obey Him. To follow Jesus is to become like Him.

Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. - 1 John 2:6
