An Audience of One

Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say, 'He is our God.' But you have not known him. I know him. If I were to say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word. Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad." - John 8:54-56

What motivates you? When you're always worried about what others think of you, it is impossible to live for God and to know Him. In today's text, Jesus demonstrates how to live for God and focus on pleasing Him only. 

Dear Church, let us live our lives for an Audience of One. 

"I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless." - Genesis 17:1b

As God called Abraham, let us walk before God faithfully by placing our trust in Him and obeying His word.
