Sheep

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. - John 10:11

Tim Keller said without a shepherd, the sheep dies and that shepherds are the sheep’s protector, provider, physician, leader, guide, and owner. As the prophet Isaiah said,

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. - Isaiah 53:6

Dear Church, as sheep, we must follow a shepherd for survival. Who are you following? Jesus Christ, the good shepherd, or false teachers, who will continue to lead us astray? When we need a protector and provider, instead of looking at the world for guidance, let us look to Christ, the good shepherd.
