Surrender

So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." - John 10:24

Many know the verse, "To obey is better than sacrifice." How do you handle commandments from Jesus when you disagree with them? Whether it is to worship, tithe, serve, love, or sacrifice. The Jews were annoyed at Jesus because he was not telling them what they wanted to hear.

Dear Church, as we reflect on today's passage, let us yield to the ministry of the Holy Spirit and surrender to God. What is God asking you to do today that you have been resisting? Surrender to Him!

And Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. - 1 Samuel 15:22
