Faith Alone
Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. - John 10:25–27
Jesus gives a simple explanation to the Jews as to why they are not able to know the truth. It is not the lack of biblical knowledge, but it is the lack of faith. The Word of God states that we are saved by grace alone, through faith in Christ alone.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. - Ephesians 2:8-9
Dear Church, today's text reminds us that we cannot save ourselves, but only Jesus saves, and our response is to follow Him. As His bride, let us faithfully follow Christ, our Good Shepherd, and humbly worship Him.
