training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, - TITUS 2:12

Paul continues his teaching on grace, which not only saves us but also sustains us. Grace teaches us to say "no" to our sinful desires, ungodliness, and worldly passions, which are opposite to living godly lives. 

who saved us and called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace, which he gave us in Christ Jesus before the ages began, – 2 TIMOTHY 1:9

Dear Church, as we prepare for the new year, let us remember that God's grace saved us and teaches us to live godly lives. What do you need to renounce today to follow Christ? May God give you to courage and strength to walk with Him.
