Good Works

waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. - TITUS 2:13-14

Why did God save us? Ephesians 2:10 states that we are God's workmanship created in Christ to do good works. We are saved by God's grace, not by works, but for good works.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. - EPHESIANS 2:10

Dear Church, as we reflect on today's text, let us ponder how much zeal we have to do good works. As we plan for the new year, let us ask the Holy Spirit to give us the zeal and passion for Christ and to do good works in His name.
