Eyes Wide Open

The woman said to him, "Sir, you have nothing to draw water with, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? - John 4:11

When Jesus offered the Samaritan woman living water, the woman did not understand that he was claiming to be the Messiah who could only satisfy her soul's desire. Although she heard the truth, she did not understand it. The spiritually blind cannot understand the truth until the Holy Spirit removes the scales from their eyes.

Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." - John 3:3

Brothers and sisters, do you know anyone who does not understand the message of the cross? I want to encourage you to pray for them that God will touch their hearts and open their eyes. Do not lose heart, but continue to be a witness to them. As we pray, let us also ask God to open our eyes so that we may see God move in our lives.

Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. - Psalm 119:18
