Our Allegiance

Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven. - Matthew 10:32–33

Many popular beliefs go against biblical standards, and believers can easily avoid persecution by denying their allegiance to Jesus Christ and his way. A true disciple of Jesus Christ will publicly acknowledge and confess him as savior, whether or not facing intimidation or persecution.

Dear brothers and sisters, do you find it challenging to live out your life as a follower of Jesus Christ? What is holding you back? Today's text reminds us that we must have eternity in mind as we live here on earth. Let us have the same attitude of the Apostle Paul when he boldly proclaimed,

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16
