His Care

So he came again to Cana in Galilee, where he had made the water wine. And at Capernaum there was an official whose son was ill. When this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee, he went to him and asked him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. So Jesus said to him, "Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe." - John 4:46-48

In today's verses, we see Jesus returning to where he turned water into wine at a wedding. His first visit to Cana was a joyous occasion; however, at his second visit, the circumstances were different. A man in a desperate situation implores Jesus to heal his dying son. In both cases, Jesus demonstrates his love, care, and power to those who need to hear the good news.

As we approach the Lenten season, brothers and sisters of The Well Church, let us go to Christ with our need. Scripture is abundantly clear that Christ cares for His people.

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. - 1 Peter 5:6-7

Whether you are joyful or desperate for Christ's help, run to him today. Do not delay!
