Trust and Obey
It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.
- John 6:17b
Managing ambiguity is one of the core competencies many companies are looking for in their leadership team. How can one have confidence in the unknown? In today's text, the disciples were caught in darkness without Jesus on their boat, and perhaps you can identify with them. As a pastor, I have often felt this way, especially during the past few years of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. We must trust the Lord and obey his teachings when encountering such challenges, especially when facing uncertainty.
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."
- Proverbs 3:5-6
Dear Church, as we follow Christ, let us stay the course and boldly share the good news of Jesus Christ and God's love to our family, friends, and neighbors even when it feels like a fruitless exercise. Let us
“go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."
- Mark 16:15
