Paid In Full

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." - John 6:51

Jesus' consistent message is that we have eternal life through Him alone. He used bread as an illustration of his life-giving gift to the world. Believers can only sustain life to eternity by eating this bread, which consists of reading Scripture, praying regularly, and obeying God's word.

Jesus pays the ultimate price to give us the bread, saying that the bread he provides is His flesh. His statement points to the cross of Calvary, where

"for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:2b

The Well Church, as we feast freely on the bread of life today, let us remember the price Jesus paid so that we can live forever. Let us glorify Him today.
