Satisfied

So they said to him, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” - John 6:30-31

Why do you seek Jesus?

The answer to this question will reveal the motivation of our hearts. Many seek Jesus for their apparent unfulfilled needs. Whether it is a better house, job, friend, church, car, or being healthier, when the world cannot meet the desires of our hearts, we look to Jesus. Such wishes will only satisfy temporarily, and we will need more to be happy again. Instead of filling ourselves with what the world dictates, the bible teaches us to be satisfied with Jesus alone. The Apostle Paul writes,

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Well Church, Jesus is more than enough for us. Let us direct our hearts to Him and seek His presence in our lives. May He satisfy you today.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. - Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
