Believe and Know

Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God." - John 6:68-69

As he often does, the Apostle Peter speaks for the disciples and speaks his mind. His confession is similar to the one at Caesarea Philippi recorded in Mark's gospel, stating that there are no alternatives to Jesus Christ. No one else has the words of eternal life. He then declares that they believe and know that Jesus is the Holy One of God.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, when you are caught between a rock and a hard place, believe and know that Jesus is the Holy One of God and place your trust in him. There is no other who can lead you to eternal life and true fellowship with God.
