Your Heart

You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. - John 8:15-16

Our knowledge is limited, and we can only judge according to the human standards of the world. As God said to Samuel,

"Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart." - 1 Samuel 16:7b

Brothers and sisters in Christ have comfort in knowing that Jesus does not judge anyone according to worldly standards, and we do not have to impress him with our status, wealth, or accomplishments. Let us ensure that we are right with him by making sure that our confessions are current. Are you harboring resentment in your heart? Confess your sins to him today and receive his forgiveness.
