No turning back

Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God." - John 8:47

To hear God's word is not only to listen but also to believe and follow God's commandments. Do you accept God's word as truth? Jesus says that the Jews do not accept the truth because they are not children of God. Therefore, another way to ask the question is, "Are you a child of God?"

Dear Church, how can we be confident that we are God's children? The Apostle John writes,

"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him." - 1 John 5:1

We become part of God's family when we believe and abide in Jesus Christ. Let us, therefore, have confidence in God's word as we trust and obey Jesus Christ.
