Confession

[24] I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins." - John 8:24

In today's Scripture verse, Jesus proclaims that faith in Him is the only option for salvation. He hints at His deity by referring to Himself as I AM. 

God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" - Exodus 3:14

Brothers and sisters in Christ, when Jesus died on the cross, he bore our sins so that we may live. As God's children, let us make sure that our confession of sins is current. He has set us free, indeed. 

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. - 1 Peter 2:24

Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out - Acts 3:19
